Comparing Driving Test Software For UK Learners
There are so many software packages out there to help with your UK driving test, but which is the best? We’ve summarised the big three below and highlighted the pros and cons of each:

Driving test complete is a nice software package which rivals the others out there today. It contains everything you’d need and expect and the addition of an app is nice. The draw backs are that the hazard perception videos are of a poor quality and the interaction with them doesn’t always seem right – which can be confusing when you’re trying to understand when to click! There is only a PC disk available, no Mac support and no digital download. Still – it is a very strong software package that will help you pass your tests.

Driving Test Success is a great piece of software that so nearly gets everything right. However, they are let down by not offering Mac support, not offering digital downloads and because the layout is not as easy to use and good looking as the competition, some of the hazard videos are also too low quality.
If you don’t have a Mac and don’t want a digital version (and you have a DVD drive on your computer), then this could still be the best software for you. But because of those limitations, I cannot rank it at number 1.

The official DSA software has always been a very easy to use and detailed tool for passing the theory test. It has detailed explanations, good presentation and everything you need to pass the theory test first time. However, it is slightly let down by the poor quality of the practical test materials which are stronger in other software packages. Overall though, for me, this is currently the best solution out there for the most people – simply because it includes everything you need and they offer digital and Mac versions.
Having said that, this is also the most expensive of the reviewed software, so whilst it is the best it may not be the best value for money at this time.
